About Tristi

Tristi Brownett is a registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and Senior Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Drawing on a professional background in occupational health nursing, she teaches public health, health promotion, health protection, environment and health, and sustainability.

Her recent research investigates cancer-related loneliness, focusing on the contexts and mechanisms that contribute to loneliness and the complexity of efforts to address it.

Her wider research interests include loneliness, wellbeing, and community-centred approaches to health improvement, with a particular interest in understanding how social and environmental contexts shape health outcomes.
